The challenge
Kogel makes hardware good enough that customers come back on their own. The store and the marketing were not doing anything to help. Email was barely used, and a catalog built on configurable, compatibility-dependent products was being sold through a theme that could not represent it properly.
What we did
We rebuilt the website and added the functionality the catalog actually required: custom product option logic, the dropdowns a compatibility-driven range needs, and custom apps to handle what no plugin covered.
We run all paid media and all lifecycle, campaigns and flows both. We also coordinated large-scale email-capture activations, giveaways and launch moments that pulled tens of thousands of new customers into the audience, then built the flows to actually convert them rather than letting the list sit there.
The outcome
More than half of orders now come from returning customers, roughly double the ecommerce norm, and email drives around 40% of revenue. Paid-social purchases are up 16% year over year. For a considered-purchase category, retention at that level is the whole business model.
